Limewire, Frostwire and MP3Rocket are all peer to peer file sharing programs. These three program all share a common network, which is the Gnutella network. These applications are capable of allowing users to search for files of any sort and download them to the user’s computer.

In the field of file sharing, Limewire was developed first. Then Frostwire and MP3Rocket were developed based from the programming of Limewire. They have the same goal which is to cater file sharing and offer the users the chance to join the sharing community that they have.

While Limewire has both paid-for and free versions, Frostwire and MP3Rocket are only both offered for free and can be downloaded in the web. Limewire is simply for file sharing and can also offer instant messaging services. Moreover, Frostwire is also capable of providing online chat rooms for the users. Moreover, MP3Rocket can search and download TV channels, radio stations and online games. It may also download unlimited torrent at one time while the maximum of Limewire is 3.

Indeed Limewire has its own flaws and so thus Frostwire and MP3Rocket. However, it would depend on you which application you prefer and which application you are more comfortable to use.
